Artist's Statement:

Gurung man brings canned food to Annapurna base camp. At 26,795 feet this seventh tallest mountain in the world, also known as Dhaulagiri 1 (or White Mountain) has become known as the mountain of storms and sorrows due to a number of failed and fatal expeditions.
