Artist's Statement:

Tibetan mountain man brings a fox skin to Tingri for sale. The Himalayas surround this area. Photographer Konopacki traveled from Kathmandu, Nepal to Lhasa, Tibet by Jeep over the mountains on a new road just opened by the Chinese (in preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games).
